Today what struck me about my daily devotional is that it mentioned that God is a covenant making and covenant keeping God.

That is, God makes promises to us and He has every intention to fulfil them.

Now, to think from God's perspective, Why would we make promises to others? Promises are usually made to people we care for and love. It's made to benefit the person whom we have made the promise to.

It's kinda like insurance, if you think about it. But the holy sort.

What are God's promises to me?

Side note: suddenly a thought about teaching in Cambodia flashed across my mind. I wonder if it means anything.
